About This Treatment
Balinese massage is the signature therapy of the island, refined over generations and still practised today in villages across Bali. It combines long gliding strokes, gentle skin rolling, acupressure along the body's energy lines and slow assisted stretching into one continuous, deeply calming sequence.
Your therapist begins with warmed oil and settles into a steady rhythm that follows the muscles rather than a fixed routine. Pressure is adapted at every stage: lighter over the neck and face, firmer through the shoulders, back and legs, always pausing where tension is found.
Because the treatment is delivered in your villa, hotel or private home, there is no rush to leave afterwards. The session closes with a few gentle stretches and a moment of quiet rest so the relaxation can settle in.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to prepare for the treatment?
Nothing at all. We bring the table, linens, oils and music. All we need is a quiet space of roughly three by three meters and, if possible, access to a power point.
Can I choose how firm the massage is?
Yes. Tell your therapist at any point and the pressure will be adjusted immediately. The default is a medium, relaxing pressure that most guests find comfortable.
Is Balinese massage suitable during pregnancy?
After the first trimester we can offer a gentler prenatal adaptation. Please mention it when booking so we assign a therapist experienced in prenatal work.
Which oil do you use?
We use a light, skin-friendly massage oil, usually coconut based and lightly scented with frangipani. Let us know about allergies or sensitivities when booking and we will bring an unscented alternative.
